  1. I have done a backup of scorpion king and it is very blockie square pixels I have not had this problem before and wonder what could be the cause

  2. Did you use ReMpeg2 to transcode it? It has been know to cause blocky output if the initial vob cell is interlaced and the rest of the movie progressive. The interlaced cell seems to confuse ReMpeg2.

  3. I used DVD Decrypter, DVD2AVI, TEMPEnc, DVD Maestro

    The preview looks fine in all the programes but the hard copy on disk is not

  5. Do u use CBR or VBR to encode in TMpeg? If you are using CBR, and the source is a high bitrate, and u try and squash it a little much, this is the result. Double check all yer settings too, thats my usual problem.
    If u use VBR, u might have set the bit rate too low as well, usually if I use anything over 4500 the results are great, with no real loss on the quality.
