  1. Pinnacle banned me from their Studio 8 Discussion Forum. I can no longer participate. My internet connection is "blocked, " so I can no longer participate. Here is what I said when Pinnacle blocked my particpation:
    ****************
Why am I "not allowed to post on the Studio 8 Discussion Forum?" That's what I get (message) when I try to post a reply on this forum. Why am I now banned? What did I do? I did not get into an argument with anyone, nor did I say (as you warned me and said that I would be banned) anything about "being banned" on the Studio 8 forum. That's what you said and I abided by it, now you have banned/blocked me from the forum, again... for telling the truth. Why... you would rather block the truth to the public... is that correct? I abided by your instruction and guidance, now you have violated the agreement by banning me without notice. You said that I would be banned if I mentioned "being banned" from the forum, so I did not say that. Yes, I abided by your warning. Now, I have been banned for telling the truth about your product... reinforcing other customer complaints... that's it... you don't like public complaints about Studio 8's BUGS, right? This (your action) is a violation of human rights... free speech.

Herein, I am formally requesting that your company (Pinnacle) reinstate my access to the Studio 8 Discussion Forum. Please give me a response to this request. Thank you.
    ****************
BEWARE... don't complain about Pinnacle products on their forums or they WILL ban you, as they did me. I did nothing but to tell the truth. They did not like the truth so, I was banned. If you don't believe this, check-out my posts on Studio 8's Forum and my codename is "Gillette". It's a fact. Do a Search on my codename... you'll see.

  5. Yeh, but I am now banned for no reason, other than telling the truth about Studio 8's bugs. Thats all I said; thus, Pinnacle banned me from accessing the forum... can no longer access the forum on-line... it won't let me.

  9. Anonymizer will hide your IP address allowing you to get back in and cause more ruckus.

But, the second link will make you happier and more productive in your requests throughout life.

You should definitely look at the second link lest you (and your charming personality) should get banned from this forum too.

    morning all.

This is violating FORUM rules. Offering CRACKs (backdoors or ways back
    in to a FORUM)
    - - Error, Error!

    Gillette,
    I feel for you. But...
as for the others contributing to (a form of breaking and entering) by using
cunningness or deceit, that's just plain WRONG!! Why add to an already
settled situation. And, some of you (who posted sneaky ways back in hence,
back doors) are violating (in a form) FORUM rules. Even though it pertains
to another FORUM, you are hinting that one can do the same HERE. I see
your response back, as a WARZ/CRACK type response. That's my opinion!
That's like saying, if VCDhelp bans you, YOU are saying "don't worry..."
"here's a way back in..." and, that's just plain wrong!

You don't need to add to an already private issue between the poster and the
Pinnacle website FORUM - it's between them two ONLY... not you all.
I don't remember reading poster ASKING for a way back in (deceitfully), else if poster had, this would then violate FORUM rules -

Don't get the poster banned from this FORUM too! He was just venting and
    sharing his experience.

Please, as a courtesy, Keep VCDhelp CLEAN!! Cheers.
    -vhelp
PS: hint, ...would be advisable to EDIT your posts above

  13. Kayfam: Anonymizer is a legitimate tool for surfing privacy (it is not warez or a hacking tool). It works by anonymizing ip addresses so advertisers/marketeers can't track which sites you go to and keep tabs on you for marketing purposes. The sweet tongued Gilette seems to think he was inadvertently banned as he violated no Pinnacle rules and he wanted to get back in. I suggested 2 solutions which directly related to his question/problem.

What did you think he was talking about? How did I not help him out? Are you really that confused?

I suggest look at vhelp's response above. It appears I'm not the one confused.

  15. Cracks = defeating copyprotection/timelimits/shareware limits on applications.

Warez = full applications for download.

VCDHelp rules do not say "No Hacks."

Even if it did, Anonymizer is not a hack as explained above.

Kayfam: You are "Always Confused." Chill out your confused arse, you've got no game.

  16. Yes, by all means keep this forum clean, but let us be able to voice the truth. All that I said (on Pinnacle Studio 8 Discussion Forum) was the truth about the bugs in Studio 8. That's all. And, I was banned.

People should NOT be banned from a public forum for telling the truth.

  18. That's it Gillette, I'm reporting you in. j/k

Seriously, I'm all for free speech, even on private forums. It does no good to censor ... it creates an atmosphere of limiting information and increased tensions. If one's is making an donkey of oneself, just ignore him. Eventually, he'll tire and go away.

If anyone should be banned for violating rules, it should be KayFam ... for thread bashing. He was too careless to read the thread carefully, jumped to too many conclusions, later found out his mistake ... but refused to fully admit it and continued the pointless bashing ... sheesh what a donkey.

    cracks, warez etc. . .

yes, but although Anonymizer may very well be such an non-intrusive
app, you are turning into an intrusive or abusing it or using it
deceitfull manner. That is whta I am refering to violating FORUM
rules, breaking and entering, warez, crack (as I see it as a form
    of crack)
Basically, you are turning something ligit into a tool that a crook
    would use (only deceitfully)

Still, I wish no-one to be banned from this FORUM either. NO ONE!

Gillette, I have no probs w/ your free-speach.
(I'm refering to your speach, as that was your topic only)

We are all friends, even if somehting is critclely said to one,
it's not to unsult anyone here.

Keeping this FORUM clean, by all means, means, to get rid of those
harsh cleaning agents above, as they are causing scratches, and
I can still see them as well as others here -

bbb, If you want I'll repost this whole topic in context including my deleted posts if it will make you happy. I simply complied with a reasonable request to remove objectionable material. If you have a problem with that I suggest you take it up with Baldrick .

  22. Anonymizer is not banned here on on Pinnacle forums. No rules have been broken.

    Jumping to conclusions is dangerous.

If we banned everything that has the potential for violating unspoken/unstated rules then we should all get banned from using the internet, no?

Fortunately, we live in a society where one is only guilty for violating stated rules when there is clear evidence of: (1) the existance of the rule and (2) the violation by a person.

Anyhow, lets nip this little thread hijack in the bud. Kayfam misinterpreted this thread ... vhelp picked up where Kayfam left off. Kayfam admitted his error and erased his initial error ... why is this thread still discussing rule violations.

Since, no stated rules have been broken ... this thread is over!

    Happy Sundays!

  26. I didn't move the thread but I imagine that it was moved because griping about the Pinnacle forum doesn't have anything to do with any of the other forums. If I saw this thread first, I would have moved it to "Off Topic" as well.

The use of http://www.anonymizer.com/ is fine for privacy reasons. Just don't abuse the service.

I moved the topic since it had nothing to do with "newbie" and had no other appropriate forum.

If you want I could lock it for degrading into a flame war

Just because something is off topic, doesn't mean that is considered less important than any of the other topics. Just that it doesn't fit into the subject heading of the other topics.

Anyway, if you really want to be banned for doing nothing try posting over at DVDTalk, where they are exceptionally ban happy.
