So, I have .avi file coded with divx 5.0.2 codec. I also have subtitle in .txt file.
I know I can get the subtitles with Playa or some similar sw but I'm curious how to get subs without such player.
The apps to be used: Virtualdub, TMGEnc, Sub Station Alpha and Media Player. So, it's rather a theoretical one: can I see the subs with aforementioned apps?

Yes, load the text file into Sub Station Alpha. Save as a .ssa file. Load Virtual Dub and load your video into. Go to Video-->Filters-->Add. Select Subtitler and load the .ssa file. They should appear on your video.

That's OK, I did it allready but I can't watch a movie in a full screen. Of course I can save it as an AVI and reeconde it, but it is, you'll agree, quite stupid thing to do.
So, to be more precise, can I "bring" a movie to Media player somehow and see the titles. Or maybe there is no solution with given software.
