VCD Header Trick

I tried to use the header trick on my MPEG file. However, when I hit run it says mpg can not be created. What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried just putting the MPEG2 file in a VCD in nero?

My DVD player does not play SVCD, but it plays VCD with MPEG2

Only one problem is that my player is limited to a bitrate 1150
so this simple header trick is not really that helpfull for me.

I tried what you suggested, however, when I tried playing it on my DVD Player all I got was a blank blue screen.
