Ok, need some help here. Have the same Star Wars Ep 2 avi that everyone else does. Have been trying to convert it to SVCD mpg. Tried both TMPGEnc and CCE/frameserve methods following the relevant guides.
Basically having same prob with both, no matter what settings I use it changes the aspect ratio somewhat. Followed the guides closely and the best I could get was a widescreen look that was not the same as the original. It looks sort of squeezed in when you compare the source to the new mpg.
Is this how it has to be? I though that if you chose Full Screen (keep aspect ratio) it would stay the same and insert the proper black borders. IT does insert the borders but I guess they are not thick enough. Could it be that this has something to do with changing the fps from ~24 to ~30?
So can someone tell me if I just have to live with it or, if not, EXACTLY how did you do it successfully?
TIA for your help,
Blk`N`Tan
