I can't get my JVC DV cam to be recognized by my firewire connection. Device manager says the 1394 host controller is working properly with no conflicts. The camera works fine with composite and svid connections. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, not sure what to suggest really
- I had a JVC work OK on Win98 SE + DX8 (there was a problem initially but that was an issue with DX7). I've now upgraded to WinXP Pro and it still works OK. Maybe your firewire cable is faulty?
