I have some video that was captured via firewire and edited in Premiere. When I export the movie via avisynth and tmpgenc I get a .mpg file. When I drop the file into myDVD I get the audio but just a black screen. Am I missing a setting?
Here is what I am using for TMPGenc
video - mpeg-2 Video
Rate control mode Constant Quality
motion search precision - High Quality(slow)
video source type - non-interlaced (I have also tried interlace)
field order -top field first (tried bottom field first)
quartize matrix - Mpeg standard
I have successfully converted an unedited captured avi but I need the ability to edit and export
TIA
Jerry

I guess I had not tried the non-interlaced with the top field combination before. Now I get a mpg that I can play, BUT it has a small 3X3 box grid in the top right corner. I exported the file again just to see if it was an anomoly but it is still there. Any ideas what this little box is?
