posting this after lots of figuring out but no success.
problem:
After compiling film using maestro, from the bottom of the screen to 5cms up, the picture jitters or jumps (for want of a better word). I am converting mpeg1 files, using tmpgenc to demultiplex and besweet for the audio.
At first i thought it was tmpgenc messing up during the demultiplex, but i checked the .m1v file and it is fine.
what i've tried so far:
i thought maybe the audio might be causing this, so i compiled just the .m1v but the problem is still there.
So i changed the aspect ratios (the film is 4.3) to 16.9 ps, then as a last try as a 16.9 lb but stil no joy. I have the framerate set right so it cant be that.
I have authored loads of the same type of film with no problem, but this comes up every now and again and is bothering me. any help would be great.

Is this a capture from a vhs tape. If so it's normal, and when played back on a tv screen you probrably wont see it due to overscan.
If it really bothers you, just crop it off.
