    1. When you ripp your DVD and convert them to VCD does can you see like little squares jumping.

    I viewed one where I saw part of the area (mostly the darker areas) had some square-like (pixels?) things coming in and out of the picture.

    You mean a VCD has an absolute clear picture unless it's blurry, but no artifacts? (saw that word and thought it might mean what the original poster meant).

    Then why do people talk about pixelation and artifacts? What do those terms mean?
