hi
Newbie here.
I have been ripping a dvd with smart ripper.
Fed the ifo to DVDx for conversion to mpeg.
I am making a svcd with this.
Problem:
Resulting mpeg 2 files have a choppy audio.
Edit: i am using dvdx 2.0
I also have a subtitle problem: english and shinese subtitles appearing together, overlaping each other when i want only the english ones.
How do i go about this problem?
Thanks
Jade

Could it be that you've upped the bitrate too far for the DVD to keep up with?
audio + video bitrate max bitrate is 2748 kbit/s- Is the audio choppy when you play the resulting MPEG in your computer?

i am sure i didn't up the audio too much
its set at 224 in the output settings box -
So, when you play the MPEG in your computer, the audio is choppy. Then there's propably something in the rip that goes wrong (but remember that it's the combined bitrate for video and audio that mustn't exceed 2748 kbps).
There's been reports of DVDx 2 being more buggy than previous versions. Try DVDx 1.7 that's reported to be the best version.
