.mpeg to dvd-r using nero 5.5

I have a .mpeg file. I want to convert it to dvd-r. I have Nero 5.5. Are there any other programs i need to use? How do you do this?

You need to Author it as DVD-video if you expect it to play in a standalone player. If so you need an authoring program such as Ulead DVD studio or Sonic DVDit (there are others). Also the mpeg movie itself need to be DVD compliant before the authoring program will accept. Read the Whatis and Howto sections on the left for more info.
