    I amdecideing on a card and cant figure out what is best
    Canopus MVR 1000
    or
    Canopus advc 1394

    What is exactly the diffrenece between the two because one is three times the price of other

    Also they are hardware capture cards right?

    Canopus MVR 1000 is REALtime MPEG2 encode
    Canopus advc 1394 is DV format

    The reason i was not sure is because it says in the ad that i can capture Mpeg1 and 2 with Canopus advc 1394. Although i know that it has inputs for analog,s-video and dv the ad says capture with included software in Mpeg1 and 2 formats for windows. Does this card capture in real time as well?
