is there any way of fitting a film 127 minutes long on to one dics (vcd format)

Sure, just lower the bitrate enough. Use the bitrate calculator in the tools section to find what bitrate is required.
VCD standard with a bitrate of 1150 will fit 80 mins on a 700Mb (80 min) CD. Lower the bitrate enough and you can fit 127 mins or more on one CD. It will probably look like crap tho! -
thanks for the fast answer it help a lot but one thing caught my eye as i was checking out the calculators. one asks you to enter dics size 74,80 or 90 min i didnt know you could get 90min disc is this right or just a mistake.

yes you can get 90min disks. They seem quite rare in Europe tho and not all burners can burn the full 90mins and nat all players can read the full 90mins so tread carefully with these! (I believe you can also find so called 99min CDr's too but would expect even more compatibility rpblems with these, probably OK for data backup but be careful when useing for audio or video)
