  1. Hello everyone.
I've just been out and bought a MiniDV Camcorder and a Dazzle Firewire card and bundled with it is Dazzle DV-Editor Videostudio 4.0 SE. I've also been and bought a Pioneer DVR-104 and what I want to know is can I record straight from the camcorder to MPEG2 and bung it straight on a DVD-R so as not to lose any quality?
Any good guides that you can point me in the direction of woud be really useful aswell.
    Thanx everyone
    Jimmy

I would never record straight from a camcorder to be burned directly to a disk. Too many variables: Jerky video, audio synch, audio and video quality, blocky video, weird colors, etc. I suggest you capture using your favorite card, keep TMPGEnc on standby (loaded with those awesome audio encoder plugins), and PowerDVD to see my final draft, before I let it near a disk.
    Hello.
