  1. projector ?

If so, could you give me some hints and tips etc

    - Sort of cable connections which work best
    - Length of cable from DVD to Projector - can I use any length
    - Do shielded cables help ?

Any other info about DVD Players and projectors would be much appreciated.

    Background.
We are planning on using the DVD player to store our backing audio and visuals on. At some venue the DVD player and projector are quiet some distance apart. ie DVD Player is on stage with us, and the Project is about the mixing desk out front.

  2. Check out some of the home theater sites. AVSForum or HomeTheaterForum. They have sections just for projectors. Generally speaking, for a very long run S-Video and possibly component cables will work. You'll probably need to have them custom made if you need really long runs. I think partsexpress.com has some 50ft S-video cables. Yes, good cables make a difference and sheilded does help to eliminate some RF intrusion.

  3. Thanks MUSTISO for the other sites info, much appreciated. I'll be checking those out shortly.

As for the "make your own" cables, that's basically what we thought and we have a place to get these done.
