I mux AC3 in TMPGEnc using the utility: File->Utility. I use the simple mux tab.

  3. If you have got your AC3 by saving as wav in vdub and renaming as AC3 from a divx file. The resultant file needs to be run through software such as headac3he before tmpgenc will accept it. Open the AC3 file and in destination format select source, then click start. TMPGEnc will now accept the ac3 file.

just a little thing here -- but accually the whole spruce web site is still on line .

    here http://17.254.4.133/

also here for log in - which still works

    http://www.spruce-tech.com/Company/Login.html

all the data sheets, manuals, and updates and stuff still there

as for your problem .. when you mux .. use the drop down list and make sure you FIRST select ac3 type file or it will not work ..

    Hey BJ_M,
In TMPG where is this File>Utility located ...in my file pull down menu I dont have a utility option there? I have been going through the Mpeg Tools and can find nothing associated with AC3.

it will mux a ac3 file right from the dolby hardware encoder .. dont know why that one doesnt work .. i forget if you mentioned if you tried to use ac3fix on it .. or cap your channels 1 - 4 (or are you using only 1 -2 ) on the d-beta to wav and encode the wavs with another encoder ..
