I have Hi8 family videos that are being captured through an ATI AIW 8500DV. I am getting the combing effect which I understand the concept of PC resoultion versus televsion resolution.
My question. After I am finished with editing and record to VHS, will the interlacing not be an issue anymore because televison is designed to display analog information in this manner? In other words will my quality get better after I render and copy to Video tape?
Sincerely,
Dan Barnett

If the source is Interlaced (with Hi-8 and DV camcorder it is)
Output it at Intelaced, to get the best picture.
So the answer is: YES it will look OK on TV.
