    I'd like to convert some of the MPG files I have to AVI. Can anyone tell me if this can be done and how? Is there a program you need to do this?

    I got Virtualdub, and tried to convert an mpg to an avi but, got an error message both times I tried to save as avi on the file menu. Any advice?
