I've been ripping movies for some time now, and i've noticed that i've been doing some things wrong. I have questions for some of the prog that i use.
Ripping:
1. Should i select demacrovision for my rips or not, I followed the setting sefy established in his guide.
dvd2avi:
1. If the movie I ripped is not film should i choose none for field operation
2. What should I choose for audio? should i encode separately to mp3?
Tmpge:
1. should i use interlaced or not? If yes, which field order?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

if you choose to turn OFF force film in dvd2avi, there are two things u can do.
1) IVTC
2) make your output video 29.97 fps + INTERLACED (not 3:2 pulldown, actually tmpgenc won't even allow u to select this if you set your fps to 29.97) source field order is critical in this case. if you haven't messed with this before, my best bet is to encode a short segment of the movie, then burn it on a cd-rw and test it on your TV (field order problems usually appear much, much worse on TV)
