You can use some of the programs on this site to do just that. To me the easiest way though is to split your video inside your editor. This way you could put text in saying “put disc two in” or something like that.

There a lot of programs that can do that:
1) http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgencedit.htm
2)http://www.vcdhelp.com/bbmpegedit.htm
3)http://www.vcdhelp.com/mpegvcredit.htm
4)http://www.vcdhelp.com/m1edit.htm
Have fun -
You can also use dvd2svcd. It will run all necessary tools and create disk images which are already split.
It also fixed my audio sync problems -
I meant the video editor you used for transitions, cutting, etc... i.e. Premier, Media Studio, Video Studio, etc…
Good Luck! -
Well, i think the easyies way for you is using TMPEnc (look into the tools section of vcdhelp). Start it, call the MPEG Tools (under the Filemenu), change onto the "Merge & Cut" tab, select the fileformat (i assume it is an SVCD), select the file, double click the file, select range and produce two splitted parts of your big file. I think this is the easies way.
Hope i could help you,
greetz
