whre did my d2v go?

I have been using DVD2AVI and TMPGenc to make SVCD's DVD's etc. My computer is a 1.7 Gig P4 and the results have been great. I also have a 1.4gig athalon and tried to use this machine instead of the p4 to do the same tasks. However, when I launch TMPGenc and open the file browser the .d2v option is not there. Where did it go? My os is XP. Can anyone tell me what has happened?

I would prefer to use the Athalon if I can, else I will have to go back to my NOISY P4.

Another point is that if I use Win ME as the os for the Athalon 1.4, the .dv2 option is available. I also get a message that the CPU speed has been reset? Hope this helps.
