I have created several VCD's using Adaptec Video CD Creator
4.01. These VCD's play fine on my Sony DVD player up until the last 4 or 5 minutes. Then the picture starts to get kind
of jerky. This jerkiness continues until the end. The VCDs
are about 45 minutes in length. I have tried several different brands of CDR's and CDRWs but all produce
the same results. My Sony DVD player is a NS400D which specifies that it will play CDR/CDRW. I also tried these
VCDs on another DVD player, also a Sony (model 330)
and the results were the same. Picture gets jerky for the
last few minutes. One thing I notice on my system
where I burned these is that the MPEG driver, mciqtz.drv
is dated 3-18-98. Would getting a newer version of this driver help ? I updated my Windows Media Player to 7.1 but it did NOT update this driver. Also, I am running DirectX 6.1.
Does anyone know why this problem would occur ?
