Hi. I use a goldstar VCR to do all my capturing because my TV hasn't got the necessary outputs.. I can watch TV through my video fine and capture it (PAL 25fps) but if I start a video playing I get all kinds of dropped frames and things when I capture.. why?
My setup is PAL TV/VCR, and is wired as such-
TV-> VCR-> SCART output plug with 3 phono ports-> Composite/phono cable-> S-video adaptor-> WINTV-PCI card.
I'm capturing with Virtual Dub, tried DIVX, HuffYuv and uncompressed video codecs and its all the same, whenever I route an actual video through the VCR and not the aerial signal I get capture probs.
Oh and by the way, the video displays just fine on the TV screen..
Please help or offer any suggestions,
UEF
