OK, after these couple of days of recollecting, I summed up the procedure to burn the ".toc" image file generated from VCD2TK. the image file contained hotspots in it. and the hotspots worked on WinDVD player. On a Stand-alone DVD player, you'll have to use numeric keys instead.
All you need to do is to convert the image file into cue/bin files. and I am sure you how to deal with that at that moment.
Open the tocsplit v1.2 (has to be this version, the one mentioned in the guide on this site won't work) that came with VCD2TK.
Load the TOC file, making sure there is no space in the naming of the file and the path.
Click on the SETUP button, choose the second option (CUE/BIN file)
Hit GO!!! that's it.
You have your cue and bin files.
Emulate them first using Daemon Tools and WinDVD.
Burn them using either CDRWin or CloneCD to copy from the emulator to your burner.
I used CloneCD, It worked perfectly both on WinDVD and the stand-alone DVD Player.
Hope this helps solve your problem.
