Newbie here, need help on my Philips!

The thing is i get on http://vb6rocod.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2009-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&update...max-results=40 ,
and download the DVP5990_12_vb6_v7_5.rar, unpack the 1250 zip(iso for my country), burn on to a dvd-rom, insert in dvd player and it says it cannot recognize disc!

There were two files in zip: AddVolume_599x.exe and DVP5990_12.bin, i burned just the bin and it didn't recognize the dvd-rom?

I am only interested in the function which increases subtitles, standard fonts must be viewed by a magnifying glass.
