    Help ! I recently burned a movie to VCD using NERO 5.5. When I try to play it on my DVD player (Phillips 701) it fails to play. Although from the display on the DVD player it recognises it as a VCD and tries to read the VCD but it's still not play.

    Any ideas anyone ? Have I done anything wrong ?

    I think I know why. It's because your Philips player does not support vcd v1.1 - only v2.0. I had the same problem with my Philips 952.
