ac3 question

is there a software that can convert ac3 file to audio cd file directly so I can burn it to a regular cd and listen to it on a cd player???


any suggestion is appreciated, thanks

thanks, but looks like all the software listed there only comnvert to a mp3 file.....looks like I just have to convert the file twice from ac32 to mp3 then to audio cd file..

use Besweet and convert to wav -- drop wav's into your fav cd burning app like nero .. make audio cd ..


converting from one very compressed lossy format to another lossy format like mp3 make not a lot sense if you want to perserve some of the quality ..

thanks, I just don't know how big the wav file is on a 1.5 hr concert.....

you will have to split the audio anyway .. 80 minutes per cd

yes that is true that is going to be another question later on on how to split the audio into like 60 mins.. and what software to use ... right now Iam just doing 1 step at a time to see how it goes on the convertion.....

split the wave .. in goldwave or cooledit or soundforge or something like those ..

i THINK besweet has a way to split it also but im not sure ..

Or you can rip your dvd with vob/chapter splitting
So you dont have to split them later

Of the seven programs listed, 3 are described as ac3 -->wav

dilligaf, yes my mistake, because I was only looking for a straight ac3 to audio cd converter that I kinda scan it really fast,

Try and get Sonic Foundry Softencode. This can make a Wav from a AC3 file it can also make a AC3 WAV, this can be played on most CD players that have a digital out linked up to a Dolby digital amp.
