I have a Gigabyte GA-7ZXE motherboard with a AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2000+ 1.7 GHz CPU and 320MB RAM. The ASUS V7700 Deluxe 64MB video card.

I am using ASUS drivers V2.9.8.0 and the nVidia WDM video capture drivers v1.1.7.0

When I try to cap a video, I get a white banner in the center with only about 10% above and below that is viewable?????

Before my MB/CPU upgrade, the capture worked fine, but I had to cap in 352x240 because of speed......

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Answering my own questions...

I recently installed the Gigabyte board because my old one became defective. The guy who sold it to me said to just run WinXp setup again and it would work.

In talking to ASUS tech support, they said because my motherboard was a different manufacture than the old one, it may have different drivers (PCI, AGP, USB, IDE etc). He said a complete format and reinstall was needed. (boy am I glad I have 2 hard drives) I copied all my files to drive D and run WinXP setup with a format and install, everything works great.

I had that exact problem when I recently upgrade from an ASUS V6800 to an MSI GeForce4 4200. I ended up taking the card back and going back to my V6800. I didn't realize (not that I really tried to hard) that a reinstall of Windows was needed. I guess next time I'll know -- thanks for posting the answer!

I guess when nVidia says "unified driver architecture" they mean for normal gfx only, not video capture
