Is there a program or a way to add a static logo to one big mpeg and just saving it without using a logo filter or some program like virtualdub where you have to save it as a different file and re-encode the whole thing again once you placed the logo on it?
I am really trying to save hours of work here.

You can add an mpeg clip before or after a file but I haven't seen anything that adds a logo to the entire file without reencoding.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin' -
Without re-encoding? I do not think so. But if you want to add a video with your logo to a (S)VCD, just add to Files box in VCDEasy along with your original video. The disk will play your logo video first, then the regular video.
Hello. -
Okay thanks for the reply....in that case:
Is there a faster way to add a logo in virtual dub and save it straight into tmpgenc as an mpeg without having to take my avi file with the logo on and go back to mpg since my file starts off as an mpg before I brand my logo on it.
If not than there must be a program that takes an mpeg and allows you to add a logo on it while giving you the same mpeg..rather than me going from mpeg to avi than back to mpeg.thanks

I am trying to do the same thing. In my case, I only want the logo to appear 10 sec into the movie and display for about 7 sec. So I demux it, chop it into 2 parts: 20 sec clip and the rest. I used virtualDub with the logo filter on the 20-sec clip, saved as avi and convert back to mpg. Reattach it back to the other half and mux back the sound.
The join is not quite perfect but I think it is because TMPGEnc is not doing a good job? Is there a better way? -
You may want to try Video Studio 6. If you want a more permanent fix, try AviSynth. It is an advanced program though.
Hello. -
would Visual Studio degrade the quality of my mpg? I want to avoid any re-encoding because I am afraid the quality would suffer.

Okay back to my problem
I heard about frame serving from virtualdub to tmpgenc
but how does this work?
Can I put my logo in virtualdub and serve it to tmpgenc without having to re-encode from virtualdubs avi back to my orginal tmpgenc mpeg once i have my logo on it.
My original file is mpeg and having to go to avi with virtualdub just to put a logo on it is gonna take 8hours to go back to mpeg after.
There has to be a faster way.thanks
Steve
