  1. Hi

I have a Pioneer 646A that I am using to play back DVD-RWs created on a Pioneer DVR-104.

The problem I´m having is that at random points during the DVD-RW the sound stops but the video keeps going. I have to turn power cycle the player to get the sound to come back. Sometimes this happens 5 minutes into the title, sometimes 30+ minutes.

The DVD-RW was created from DV footage captured and edited in Premiere, frameserved into TMPGenc 1.56plus, encoded using 2pass VBR (max=8000, avg=6000, min=2000) and then authored using DVD Workshop.

I am using Verbatim DVD-RW so media shouldn´t be the problem (?).

This has only started to happen since I started using TMPGenc so that would seem to be part of the problem but I've used TMPGenc loads of times in the past (for SVCDs) without any problems so I'm a bit baffled at what happened now. Any suggestions?

    Thanks
