Hello...
I am new to capturing and have been messing around a lot with different formats and video sizes. My problem: As long as I stay at or below 352 x 240 ("1/2") for the size, I am fine - but as soon as I bump the size up beyond this point, I start losing significant numbers of frames.
I am running Win 2000 Pro with an AMD 1200 Mhz CPU, 512 MB RAM, an Asus V7700 card w/ 32MB, and using Ulead Pro 6.5 to capture. (Also using the Cinepak codec made by Radius, and also am messing with the DIVX codec, if that matters.)
Questions are:
1.Would upgrading to a 64 MB card enable me to save to full size without dropping frames? If so, any recommendations?
2. Anything else I can do to alleviate the problem?
Any advice w/b much apprec.
Thanks...
Zeek
