  1. Hello Everyone, I just created my first SVCD from DVD using DVD2SVCD and CCE 2.5. Quality is excellent no audio problem except some high motion places (eg if someone is running) it has some blocks and blurry. I want to know which options should I choose in CCE or DVD2SVCD program to minimize them. However, I really like this program I ran it and next day I had all the files. It's that easy. Amazing. Thanks

  2. There are a few things you can do to minimize the blocks and bluring. The simplest thing is to increase the bitrate... more bits equal less pixelation. But that's the easy way to do things Other ways to solve the problem is if you're using a VBR encoding set the "Image Quality Priority" in CCE to a lower value like 2 or 5, this will give action scenes more priority and thus give it more bits to minimize the blocks and blurring. Another thing you can do if you haven't already done so is in the "Frameserver" tab turn on the "TemporalSmoother", it'll soften up the picture a bit but make the movie easier for the CCE to encode so you'll get less blocks. This is a great filter for animated material. Remember you can use the "Preview Video" function in DVD2SVCD to see how the filters affect the picture so you can adjust the TemporalSmoother setting to your liking. The only thing is it'll slow down your encode time considerably (40% depending on settings) but if you do your encoding while you sleep it's not a big deal.

  3. Thanks for the tip. Yes I used Multi VBR 4 passes. Since I did not change the Image Quality Priority before and accepted the defalut value. Next time, I will definitely try these settings. Thanks
