I need to find the settings and software needed for the best image quality when capturing VHS.
***I would prefer to capture straight to MPEG2 so that I don't have to waste time converting an AVI but if the quality would be a lot better then I will do that.
I have the following hardware:
Video Card: ATI 8500DV - Retail with latest software
Motherboard: Abit KT-7 Raid
Processor: AMD 1.3Ghz
Memory: 512meg
HD: Western Digital 120GB
SoundCard: SoundBlaster Platinum 5.1
VCR: Mitsubishi SVHS
Software that I have:
ATI software for 8500DV
Ulead Movie Factory and Workshop
Adobe Premiere 6.0 and 6.5 with Ligos MPEG
Ligos LSX-MPEG
Virtual Dub
TMPGEnc
Again, I need to capture VHS to output to DVD in the BEST quality possible. This is for my parents and maybe for some other people that may be willing to pay to have their tapes converted if my parents tapes look good enough.
Thanx, Dave.
PS: or just point me to the right place.
