  1. I have allready made 6 movies with spliting to 2 discs so here's my problem:

    1) ripped the movie to harddrive ( dvd - crypter)
    2) used ifoedit to spilt the movie (to 2 differend folders)
    3) tested with ifoedit and powerdvd to check if the movie play well
    4) burned the complete folders ( VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS ) to the disc)
    5) I used PRIMO 2.0 to burn the disc and Inever had any problems before, exept with this movie.

After the blank disccheck I get an error (the burning doesn't start )
the error is "error burning the project" (the disc remains empty)
when I take a different folder (like LOTR) the burning starts as usual en finishes the disc.

    someone can help me ??

As I know Miss Congeniality has some issues. It is not authored like a normal DVD. Has some crazy titles ... Anyway if you read Derrow guides you'll see that he says something about Miss Cogeniality being an atypical movie.
Anyway in this case the problem seems to be with your burning software. I had issues with RecordNOW MAX 3.x. When the DVD was split or stream stripped (usual thing for a double layer disc), I somethimes had problem burning the disk. The setting for "Recognize Video_TS and AUDIO_TS as per DVD specification" is very picky with what's inside those folders. If the content is not how it should (very easy not to be according to DVD standards especially when stripping) then you'll get an error message or worse, the program will burn the disc but will finish after 200 MB leaving you with a garbage disc. Either take out that "Recognize Video_TS" and burn a normal Data Disc - UDF/ISO Bridge, or move to Nero where you'll need to burn a DVD UDF/ISO Compilation. Anyway, before burning with either you should to a simulation (only for 2-3 minutes then you stop) to make sure you won't have ruined discs, especially for RecordNOW MAX which says how many MB will burn on disk (after the Lead In or Initialize Disc). If the size is 4 GB (or whatever the movie is) then is good, if it's 200 MB or less than it suppose to be then is trouble !

P.S.: Prassi Primo 2.0 and RecordNow MAX are almost the same program so what I said about RecordNow goes for Primo too ! I use Nero and I'm happy with it !
    Good Luck !

I use Nero 5.5.9.9. In Nero I create DVD UDF/ISO compilation (the last in the list on the side of that "New" dialog Box"). Then i use for htat the following settings:

    No Multisession
Iso Level 1 without Joliet and also without relaxing any of the ISO restictions.
    UDF Version 1.02
The disc label (Volume title) I try to keep below 11 characters.
And finally use 1X to burn. Use this speed even if you use 2X DVD-R's because are more compatible with DVD Players.

Then I do a short simulation (2-3 minutes) to make sure the burning is working as it suppose to. I cancel the simulation (usually after LeadIn when the User Buffer and the Recorder Buffer are filling with data) and then start writing.

You should upgrade that Nero of yours. It's easy to find the new version on the internet. Just go to Google.com !
Anyway, even your version could work great because it is not that old, but again this DVD Burning thing is State of the ART technology so you want to use the latest programs for better compatibility !
Good Luck and let me know if it works!

  7. i Know What the problem is when PRIMO said that the folders you want to store on a DVD not goes fine.

in the VIDEO_TS.IFO file are to much title set (the same i think as the orginal DVD) what i changed tot let it work by PRIMO:

    1) i make a backup from the VIDEO_TS.IFO and the VTS_01_0.IFO.
    2) delete the files VIDEO_TS.IFO and the VTS_01_0.IFO in the
    VIDEO_TS folder.
    3) start ifoedit en choose the option "Create IFOs"
    4) afther finshing i copy the backuped file VTS_01_0.IFO over the
existing file in the map VIDEO_TS
    5) press the Get VTS sectors
    6) test if it works with powerd dvd
    7) Burn the disc

  8. I have successfully copied Miss Congeniality to dvd-r.I used dvd decrypter to strip audio and end credits(last chapter)and saved to vob files again.
I then took these files and got new ifos using ifoedit and burned to dvd-r.It works perfectly .I use recordnow to burn.
I have 2 dvd players. One is Philips ,this doesnt play all the dvd-rs but has no problems when I use this method. The other is made by Wintel this plays anything.
