    I'm referring a lot of the one I see on eBay like the ClearMax 6000 or Davinci. I was wondering if these are any good.

    I have a really old Jerrold all in one unit. My cable provider is a subsidiary of Time Warner and it still works perfectly.

    I got the Clearmax 6000, and I love it. If you can see the scrambled picture than you can use one of these. If the sound is also scrambled then you will also need the add on sound card option.
