Now i need to upgrade my firmware to see if it helps me out with the problems I've been having. But of course I can't find the correct firmware. My tech support guy couldn' even tell me what brand of CD-R was in the computer that came from the company that he works for WTF?
All it says on the front of the writer itself is JustLink 16x10x32x.
And in the device manager it calls it RW-161032, and from a previous post someone said it may be made by Ricoh but I really don't know. Any help will be appreciated.

There are so many rebagged cdrw in the market. Yours might be Ricoh rebagged like the one posted in your earlier post. I have one with Justlink burnproof tech as well. Mine is QPS 24x10x40 which is rebagged from Ricoh (QPS sells a lot of rebagged drive such as Plexter, Ricoh, Lite-on).
I'd suggest you to check Ricoh 16x10x32 and compare its firmware with your firmware, if it the same so yours is absolutely Ricoh. -
I did a quick search on your drive on http://www.alltheweb.com and it came up with the following link:
http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/cdrw-16x10x32x-int-ide-justlink.asp
That link confirmed it is a Ricoh MP7163A-DP.
Good Luck. -
ok first off thanks for the help. Next does it matter if i get the firmware for the Ricoh MP7163A or does it have to be say Ricoh MP7163A-DP. basically are they the same drives cause i dont see the Ricoh MP7163A-DP all i can find is the ones for the Ricoh MP7163A. Thanks again
