I don't have an AGP card. I read somewhere that one needs an AGP card to be able to use this Writer. Is this correct?
I only have a PCI ATI Radeon 32mb Graphics Card. What DVD Writer will work with my card OR do I have my information wrong about AGP only?
PS Is it possible the software that comes with the Drive that needs the AGP?
1ghz Duron (yeah, I know) 512mb Ram

you dont need a AGP card ...
a lot of us even have our burners external in firewire cases - which dont have a clue whats in the machine .. -
Wishmaker -- I assure you that this is horse-hockey.
I have exactly the same setup -- 1GHz Duron, 512Mb RAM, ATI All-In-Wonder (and mine's not even a Radeon!) in a PCI slot, and a Pioneer 104 DVD-R(W) burner -- and mine works just fine.
Now, I will add that I don't use any of the software which came with the drive (I use ULead Media Studio Pro 6.5 and DVD Workshop 1.2), but I can't imagine that even the video-capture and burning software would care about AGP vs. PCI... (In fact, I know Prassi PrimoDVD doesn't.)
