Can I change back from All Region to Region 2 on Pioneer DV

I think the reason my DVD (PAL) Pioneer DV 350 won't play my VCD movies is due to it being all region. Therefore does anyone know if and how I can make it Region 2 only.

By common sense there VCD playback shouldn't been relataed with regions in any way. What is much-much more likely, You have done something wrong, when creating VCDs. Try them on other palyers at least before You do something to Your player.

I have tried my movie on another DVD player and it does work. My VCD won't play on my computers DVD player either and that is all region. On Pioneer website it mentions that player will have problems playing back VCD's on all region machines.

So question remains can I switch back?

So, it is "region-free media on all-region machine" problem? Have heard of it, but can't help. Can anybody tell, why this hapens?

As far as I know, its not possible to make a Pioneer player region free by using the remote to enter a 'hack'.

HOWEVER

You should be able to play DVDs from any other region.

PLEASE, PLEASE! Vote on the poll connected to my post, even if this doesn't work - no-one yet has even replied but as far as I can see, there are no other multiple-machine pioneer hacks apart from mine! Where's all my thanks?!? Just kidding!
