The Pyrio 1394 Drive Kit says it requires these modes for an IDE Device.
Does this mean I can't use ATA/100 and ATA/133 devices?
ATA 66 HDD's are to small.

I really need to know this.
I need a bigger laptop hard drive and I also want a DVD+-RW and I need to know if i can use the ATA 100's with this enclosure. -
With PYRO 1394 Drive Kit you can use ATA/100 drive, but NOT ATA/133 or drive bigger than 130 GB.

if i were to use an ATA-133 drive, would it not work, or would it work at ATA-100 speeds?
For Christmas, I'm looking to purchase a hard drive for mounting in a drive kit. -
I've never met an ATA133 drive that wouldn't "dumb down" to ATA100 or ATA66 (or even ATA33) speeds when required for compatibility.

Jester's right though it would be good to checkh that since manufacturer say in bold and large print that it doesn't work with ATA 133. Slowing down is "normal", but maybe their sw/hw is too smart. Check it out before spending some money.
