I can't seem to find the settings so that I can split an avi into 2 mpgs, but with almost no or very little detrioration in quality. Every time I extract half of it so I can burn to VCD, some video quality is lost.
Can anyone help?

You should always use a VCD template when encoding, that way the Merge&cut will not effect the output in anyway.
Oh and "These settings above" is a bad link, he needs to edit
