  1. Hi-

i have been having a hard time getting vcd quality to be what I would like. i am just shooting for vhs quality. whenever i make a vcd, it becomes somewhat pixelated. I have editted my material in premier and exported it as an ms dv avi. is there something i can do to increase quality?

    thanks

first thing to remember, the output is directly related to your input. what format are you using to capture, AVI, MPEG2??
second VCD format has it's limitations the bit rate in comparison to dvd(mpeg2) is low. so vcd can only be so good
capture at the highest quailty your system and software can handle, then experiment with increasing bitrates to see what will play on your dvd player (use cd-rw)
