I was capturing something on TV and the program was almost finished when the capturing prog crashed. I am still able to view the file (*.wmv) but I can't use the seek bar to goto bits that I want so I have to watch everything from start to finish. I am able to pause it and resume on the same spot. I can drag the marker on the seek bar to anywhere I want but when I let go, it moves back to where the bideo is currently at.
I've attached a pic of the vid file so you can see what that the seekbar looks perfectlyl normal, nothing shaded out, but Im unable to seek!
Any advice?

The first thing to do is to try it in another player (Real or whatever you have on hand) to make sure its not just Media Player being bitchy.
Also, I've found that just running broken video through VirtualDub (in your case an older version of... or aviSynth) using 'direct stream copy' will often fix seeking problems.
