newbie- error w/ tmpge during encoding, says -272762914 ect.

OK i am having a problem, once i start encoding my avi file to svcd mpeg-2 format.its starts encoding and i get a weird message that says "error -272769241-34464 >>>>i have no idea what is going on.......but see i got a 300mhz pentiumII....the software reccomends pentium 3..500mhz...u think thats the problem? anyone experience anything simmilar..I wasjust curious.i know i have an old old computer.....anyways i hope soemoen can help me with more info on this,

Have you scanned the AVI for junk frames in Vdub ?

Do you get the same problem if you convert to VCD ?

Yes your CPU is a bit on the slow side for this work
