I want to convert some of my old Vinyl Lp's to CD, and just wondered what the best way to do it was, and do I need any special software ?
I'm using a Soundblaster 128 card, so is it a case of linking the stereo headphone out to the microphone in on the Sound card ?

Most people use the "Line in"
the mic socket would be distorted.
Since there may be crackles and pops, you may need to clean them up before burning.
You can use www.goldwave.com to record direct from the sound card, and use its filters to clean things up.
Also if you have any Mono, you can use Gold Wave to copy one channel to the other.
