I want to chnage the aspect ratio to full screen on burned movies.. I am ripping a DVD to DVD-R and I use Smart ripper and then remepeg then Spruceup then Ifoedit to get my finishing product... question--- In Ifoedit it defaults to 4:3 and ya have to change it to 16:9 as in original ifo file... now if I change that to 16:9 and select cropping or pan scan within the static section will this make people long and thin ?? I change line number 200 NOT 100.... what is line 100 for ?? Can someone help me....

IFOEdit cannot crop a movie for you. Most DVD's come with both aspect ratios. You should verify that yours does not before doing alot of extra work. You can view the MPEG stream information using IFOEdit. Look for a 4:3 video stream (do not confuse the menu's with the movie,as they are often in 4:3). If your not sure how to do this, refer to an IFOEdit guide ( www.doom9.org has some good ones). If your DVD does not have a 4:3 version, then you will have to manually crop the video to 4:3, chopping off the sides of the movie to make it fit fullscreen.
Use something like DVD2AVI to get an AVI file from your DVD Rip. Use VirtualDub, or AVSynth to crop your movie, and then re-encode, and author back to DVD.Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
