    I ripped a part of a dvd to vcd and it was 22 mb big and played nicely. After ripping the same part as svcd with the same settings as a vcd it was twice the size and didn`t playback smoth. WHY ???
    I wan`t to create svcd with dolby sorround and adjust the bitrate to always fill two cd`S.

    I expect your settings are wrong. The specs are different for VCD and SVCD. You can see the specs on the left under WHAT IS - VCD or SVCD
