  1. Ok I have just got myself a lovely pioneer 105 dvd writer.
I have 3 hours of video I would like to put onto it
Source is vhs (or live tv)
Destination is dvd (aiming for mass players)

    Step 1
    Capture at 352 * 576

    Step 2
Convert video into mpeg and de interlace

    Step 3
burn with nero (want to create menus and stuff)

have i got this right. Does anyone have a pal guide to the capturing and converting part?

    Many thanks

    1. Yep or higher resolution and resize down later.

    2. No. Don't deinterlace if you are making a dvd that you are going to play on the TV, just leave it interlaced. If you play it on your computer will the software dvd player deinteralce automatically.

    3. No. Standard Nero can't make author DVDs(with menus and stuff). Use another DVD authoring tool like ulead moviefactory or workshop or some other. https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?howtoselect=3;6
