Cyberhome 528 firmware URGENT HELP NEEDED

I bought the cyberhome adl 528 today and when i tried to update the firmware that i found on the cyberhome site, it came up update press enter or eject to quit. I pressed enter then it said it was updating. but then it wwent to a blank screen and from now on there is no cyberhome screen, just a blank one. And when i try to play a movie the screen is blank aswel. i followed thwe intructions for installing the firmware perfectly. Copied the directory to cd with the 2 fles in it and a directory called "No_used". Please help. send any help to internet_malky@hotmail.com

The picture is there - you just can't see it! You need to alter the output video format in the setup menu, but of course you can't because you cannot see the menu! 8)

If you have another scart input on your TV, try that. If you have composite input to your TV, try that. One or other should give you back access to the setup screen, when you can make the necessary alterations.

If you cannot do either, see if you can link up to someone else's TV. This happened to me, but I no longer use the Cyberhome, and I cannot remember the exact details.

There is a Cyberhome forum, so if you still cannot solve your problem, try there. You are certainly not the first to experience this, and you have not destroyed your DVD player! 8)
