Becareful of ESBuy. They shipped non-US drives in the last 6 months. I bought one on ebay. The first drive and the first set of software would lockup my PC.

They replaced both. The software works, I think, but I can't get the Veritas RecordNow DX software to burn a ripped DVD. It does a disk to disk copy fine. Read the posting on this forum list about ESBuy and you might rethink buying from them.

BTW, I had to threaten with a fraud deal on ebay. They would not answer my emails for help and I finally called them and they were not helpful at all. Their definition of fraud was pay for item, item shipped, all is fine.

My definition was pay for item that arrives and does not work and seller will not help or replace seems like fraud to me.

Just my experience.

www.eBay.com. I have purchased 3 A03's from there. The last one for under $210.00.......new! There doesn't seem to be any difference between the A03/103 and the A04/104 and since most of the issues are with the latter I will stick with the A03.

Yeah I read about the recent esbuy.com stuff. I think its a recent thing and no reason to blame them long term personally. They have good prices and I also get my disk from them, never done me wrong personally. And I just upgraded my burner and it is the exact one I ordered... of course it was a little over 6 months ago now...

last week OfficeMax had CenDyne DVD-R/W writers (which is the Pioneer 104) on sale for $249.99 with mail-in rebate. I found an $50 of $250 or more purchase coupon which brought me down to $199.99 after mail-in rebate.

That deal is over... other wise check out esbuys.com
