    DVDx Rip Sample clips -

    Ok, so far, these are my sample rips via the new DVDx app surfacing around these past few days. ...for those who would
    prefer to see results of some encoding samples before they
    give DVDx a try.

    I've encoded the same small clip of "Moonraker" for comparison to my TMPGEnc 12a encode of 08-15-01m (the one I was having a problem with)

    Currently, as testing goes this evening/night, below are my settings
    for DVDx (in the order, MPEG specific/Capture/Misc) - :
    -------------------------------------------------------
    * FILE: * Sample-001.rar @ 2928kb
    * mpeg1.1150.224.good.normal.mmx(fst).30.90.1.38
    * 352x240.full(16/9or4/3).bicubic. . .
    * FILE: * Sample-002.rar @ 2447kb
    * mpeg1.1150.224.good.normal.mmx(fst).30.90.1.38
    * 480x480.full(16/9or4/3).bicubic. . .
    * FILE: * Sample-003.rar @ 2438kb
    * mpeg1.1150.224.good.normal.mmx(fst).30.90.1.38
    * 720x480.full(16/9or4/3).bicubic. . .

    If you feel, after viewing the downloaded files above,
    that quality I used in the above mentioned, can be improved,
    then by all means, please specify alternate settings.

    This is My MAIN folders
    Here you can navigate my folders for whatever clips I uploaded in the folders - be they Capture clips or Encoded clips, etc.

    ** just to note, so far, I haven't had one problem with uploading
    any files to "Yahoo Briefcase" - for those who care!

    I hope that this post made it formated correctly - else I'm in trouble!!

    Sorry peoples,

    I still seem to be having problems with the the linking stuff.
    I went in and click each link ".rar" ones, and got an error.
    Maybe I'ts my provider or just me only, and that yours wll
    will correctly, but if it doesn't, just right click each link and
    copy it and paste into browser http box.

    In any case, you can also go to each files (above) by clicking
    on the "My MAIN Folder" link. I tested this and it works.

    Ok, forgot to mention... the files are in .mpg format, and
    compressed with winRar (I downloaded the latest version).
    After winRar'ing them all, just burn in Nero or whatever burner
    you're comfortable with and then proceed to test the playing
    ability of these clips. See if any of the clips give jitters or
    slowmotion or something like that. I get these same problems
    even when I encode with this new DVDx app.

    Just in case my theories are correct about it may be my DVD player,
    I may pick up an new one tomorrow afternoon (friday). I was
    planning on the Apex 500w model at Walmart, since most of the
    posts I've read claim that this model will play anything? ? ?

    Thank you all for your support!

    PS: and remember, these are just small clips, nothing spectacular!
